Time to ladder

After only playing maybe seven games last season it’s time to start up season six. Made the final leap into playing Zerg now. Practiced the new maps before the ladder unlocked just so I wouldn’t be confused as all hell and learned some new builds.

First qualifying round was against another Zerg. I was hoping for some fellow zerg love but no, I go 9pooled and sadly, I’m a newb and didn’t see it coming. Next game was against a Toss that went mass cannons and void, another loss for me. The last two of the night were Terran though, that I feel is my good match up. Won those and now I just have to keep at it.

I guess I’ll also add that I have ladder anxiety, but not in the way most people do. Most people have the fear of clicking the button because they don’t want to lose. I’m afraid of the little orange button because of past games. I don’t like playing 25+minutes long games and I’ve had some awful games where I storm a Terrans base only to have him turn into a dandelion and scatter everywhere. I’m fine with losing, every loss points out my weaknesses and helps me get better as a player. I just hate playing “find a the hidden bases” against a Terran for 36minutes.

can you recommend some good shoujos for me to read

… I hate you all.

Not much, getting used to setting this all up. How are you this fine day?

HI ONIISAN ITS YOUR LITTLE SISTER!!!

Like omg it is!!

7/2/12

Decided to switch from Protoss to Zerg the other day, going good.

Playing as Toss was too easy for me. Warp in units, build more gates, warp cycle, expand, upgrades, warp, I picked it up fast.

Zerg is the race I bought the game for but couldn’t play because well, who can start off SC2 as Zerg without playing any other RTS before.

The macro stumped me at first. Spawning pool, expand, rack up facebook money, no idea what to do, lol whats a layer?

Getting better now though. Worked out my hotkeys and rebound Tab and Backspace to my mouse. I’ve been keeping my average unspent at around 6-700.

Only playing against the computer until I’m happy with my gameplay and think I’m decent at the game.

Obviously there are areas I need to improve on. I need to scout more, take map control, keep map control, build spines at the start for some defense, and relearn the counters to units.

I’m happy with my ability to maco and inject while attacking for now and will jump into the ladder in the next few days.

Why did I want to play Zerg?

Hearing TB scream “BAAAAAALIIIIINNNNGGGSSS!!!!” was probably a reason but the biggest was how Zerg played. Watching someone build tech, army up, inject, scout, and spread creep all while planing their next attack was amazing to me. The ability to replace an entire army the second after your first army gets wiped out was fascinating as well. Sadly when I got the game there was no way in hell I was going to be able to pull that off so I tried out the other two races and Protoss stuck.

Why did I pick up SC2?

I remember seeing a TotalBiscut ‘I Suck at Starcraft’ video in my sub-box on youtube. I watched it and thought it looked like fun, I liked seeing TB getting hit with banelings and screaming. After watching a few episodes of that I looked around for other sC2 channels and found LAGTV. This find was a major reason for my decision to buy the game. After a few months of watching the game all the time but not being able to play it I had enough. I bought it even though my computer at the time couldn’t handle it even on the lowest of settings. When I started school back up I bought a new computer and that was the beginning of how I got here today.
